What is Minister Smith’s attitude toward religion’s place in family? |
|
A person's abilty to spiritually grow within a family is what has the most importance to me. That being said, religion has and will always have a viable place in the family structure.
I am diametrically opposed to the belief that everyone should belong to one denomination, or practice one style of religion. However, I do believe that spiritual growth is essential and can only be obtained through worship and obedience to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The key is that a person must believe in something greater than themselves in order to fully enjoy life. I believe that when families share this same belief there isn't anything that can stop that unit from prospering. As a child, I often heard the saying "The family that prays together stays together." The sentiment of this statement is just as true today as in our parents time. |
